KERAFED is the Apex Co-operative Federation of coconut farmers in Kerala and is the largest producer of coconut oil in India. KERAFED has two expeller oil extraction factories one at Karunagappally, Kollam and the other at Naduvannur, Kozhikode. KERAFED’s coconut oil complex at Karunagapally in Kollam district is one of the biggest such units in India, with a capacity of 250 Tons per day.

Exploring the Nutritional Treasure Trove of Coconut Products
The market of the most popular edible oil is rampant with adulteration. Recently the Government has banned as many as 96 brands of coconut oil. Palm Oil, Palm Kernels and even Paraffin wax are found in the coconut oil marketed by unscrupulous manufacturers.
Kerafed Kera, as a Government owned brand ensures purity and quality with a double filtered manufacturing process. Coconut is directly procured from the coconut farmers of Kerala and it is sun dried in to copra. Kerafed has two processing units in Kerala one at Karunagapally, Kollam and the second one at Naduvannur, Kozhikode.
